Super Service Awards

What is the Super Service Award?

The Super Service Award is a monthly cash prize given by the BGCCI to a local person nominated by members of the public, supervisors, employers etc. for outstanding service.

If someone—an employee, a volunteer, or anyone else in the region—has given you good service, we would like to reward them.

Does the nominee have to work in the retail industry?

No. The local person you nominate can be from anywhere—a volunteer, an employee in a cafe or shop, a tradesman, a council employee—anyone who has given you good service, above and beyond what you expected.

Perhaps a tradesman helped you move a piece of furniture, or a council officer went out of their way to help you through a maze of forms, maybe it was someone in a retail store who showed you how a piece of equipment worked, or a volunteer at a local event helped you out... Anyone! It's all about service, not where they work.

How do I nominate someone?

You can pick up nomination forms wherever the submission boxes are located. Or you can download the form (PDF, 8 KB) and print it out.

Where can I submit my nomination form?

Super Service Award submission boxes are located in several places throughout the towns of Bridgetown and Greenbushes:

  • Bridgetown Newsagency (Steere St, Bridgetown)
  • Fetter Chiropractic (Hampton St, Bridgetown)
  • All Your Fruit and Vegetable Supplied (below Bridgetown Hotel)
  • Gentle Era (Hampton St, Bridgetown)
  • Mini Mart (opposite Nelsons, Hampton St, Bridgetown)
  • Greenbushes Roadhouse

Or you can mail your completed nomination forms to: BGCCI, PO Box 619, Bridgetown, 6255.

How often are the Super Service awards drawn?

Each month, the nominations are gathered and checked by the Executive Committee of the Bridgetown–Greenbushes Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI), and one person is selected as the winner for that month.

What do the winners receive?

The winner receives a $25 Community Cash Voucher from the BGCCI -- this is either delivered by hand or mailed to the winner.

How does this award differ from the one run by the newspaper?

The service award published in the Bridgetown-Manjimup Times covers the entire Warren-Blackwood region, whereas our Super Service Award just focuses on excellent service within the towns and hinterland of Bridgetown and Greenbushes.
